This allows one to join University for Bachelor Degree in other programmes related to Marketing and Public Relations. Such programs are Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, Social Work, Community Development, Political Science, International Relations, Advertising, etc.
The Diploma in Marketing and Public Relations includes basics of business law, integrated marketing communication, buyer behaviour and consumerism, e-marketing and e-public relations, public relations campaign, and fundamentals of entrepreneurship, sales management, customers’ relationship management, basics of events management and basics of marketing research.
The aim of this programme is to equip the candidates with requisite knowledge and skills that will enable them perform semi-managerial and non-routine tasks. Currently most Tanzanian institutions/Organization and Companies are undertaking major reforms in their management systems; party because the business world of today is highly competitive. Companies need to have an edge that makes them stand out from others with the appealing and interests to both the public and the media. The public are the buyers of the products and services, the media are responsible for selling them. This programme develops individuals who can perform that comfortably and efficiently.
Minimum entry requirement / Eligibility
The Applicant must have completed form VI (ACSEE) with at least one (1) Principal and one (1) Subsidiary, or one must have pursued a Certificate in Journalism or related programme with at least a GPA of 2.0 from a Government recognised Institution.
